This is a great all rounder bike and a surprisingly good performer. It has a very torquey motor which makes it easy to ride, especially for less experienced riders or as a commuter bike, but it also comes alive further up the rev range providing spirited excitement when the occasion demands it!!

The bike belongs to my fiancee'. It has been pretty well unused for the last year as she has returned to full time study, commutes on a smaller bike and prefers to ride pillion on trips away with me - so its time to sell it.

Compared to many sports bikes these machines have a pretty comfortable seat and they suit riders who are a bit short in the leg department (having said that ,I'm 6ft2in and I have also enjoyed a few short rides on it - but I would be too tall for a really long trip without having to stop regularly (maybe I'm just getting old??)

Extras include a scott oiler (automatic chain oiler) which makes chain maintenance much less of a hassle, it has hot grips fitted, an optional Givi screen for a bit more wind protection and it has a topbox which could be negotiated into the deal. The first owner of the bike also put extensions on the mirror stems to improve the view behind (so you can see past your shoulders better) and slightly raised the bars for a more comfortable upright position

I put a new air filter in it a short time ago. No known issues, In very tidy condition. New price for these is around $12,495 now so it represents good buying at this price but if you want to make an offer thats close then try us.
Cheers

I'd like that Ruralman! But I have to keep what I have now tho. I do know of someone who might be very interested and I'll pass the info onto him.

Damnit, someone needs to buy my Hornet 250 so i can buy one of these. Looks like a nicely looked after machine.

I hate being patient. Someone must have some money lying around to give me to give you...

Labelling it a ladies bike could very well put off the more image-sensative type transition-from-learner boys from giving one of these a try, which would be a real shame as they are a great bike.

I would have brought one instead of the SV but there weren't many available back then because people didn't seem too keen on parting with them.

I think you will find in Decmeber 2007 these were $9995 retail...

I brought a New one from Mt Eden for $9.5k including on road....

And could'nt sell that one 18mths later with only 18kms on the clock for $6k..

Goodluck with trying to sell it, It will be very hard work to get over $7k..
