I ride my RG150 to town and back every day (10km each way) and desperately need to get it fixed.

I was riding along and then it basically died. It sounded as though it didn't get enough fuel and was suffocating.

So I pulled over to the side of the road and proceeded to try and kick start my bike for the next 30 or so minutes then decided it was most likely a fowled spark plug for some reason.

Girlfriend arrives with the right tools to check a spark plug, once I got it out there was a lot of oil around the bottom of the plug and it looked as though it had a very small carbon build up around the edges.

So I gently rubbed off the carbon with my pocket knife and cleaned off the oil with some tissue and put the plug back in.

Praying to god that it turns over I kick it. Nothing. It was just the same as before, almost as if it's permanently flooded.

The bike is now stuck in town out in the open car park. Can someone please shed some light as to why this may be happening.

Thanks a lot. :D

Well, I hope you get it sorted as I can imagine how frustrating it would be

Check the bowl under the fuel tap to see if it is clogged up or something. Could just be build-up obstructing the fuel line. If so, stuff my have made it down the line and you may need to clean the carb.

First check the kill switch has not been bumped and you have petrol. Then take plug out and lean against engine and kick over and see if the spark plug sparks. If it does kick it over a few more times and the replace plug and try again.
