Last week a saw a car change lanes without checking his blind spot, the guy on the bike in front of me ended up in the side of him, not even enough force to knock him off the bike. Cops call me for my statement. The guy on the bike was on the left of the white line, first thing the cop says we had witnesses to say he was lane splitting. I stood up for the biker and said i was behind him he was not lane splitting, and he was not speeding cause if he was how did he stay on the bike. Even said to the cop look mate not saying we are angels and there where parts of the journey we where lane splitting but not at the time of the accident you could see what happened the guy changed lanes without checking his blind spot. The cop then says sounds like they where both at fault, so i say how the hell does that work out guy riding within the law car driver changes lanes without checking his blind spot but its the bikes fault. Why do car drivers scream lane splitting as soon as there is a biker in a smash, when half the time the tossers dont give use the room to pass correctly, the best bit is the cops belave them.
