Harden the fuck up.

Jayden and I got soaked in it in the space of thirty seconds, was funny as hell watching it come over the hills and people scrambling for shelter.

Hi Hels the great city of Porirua has also been struck. Caused a pile up on Mana Esplanade resulting in an ambulance cruising down there. Interesting how it hit so fast.

Haha one of the girls I look after raced outside to see how wet she could get, and guess what, the answer is quite soggy! She came in soon after it started to hail and the thunder started.

You shouldn't be camping in foul weather, that's just nuts.

well, down over this side the wind is fair whipping around. And some rather nasty black clouds are stirring up some trouble.

Yup, rode home to Stokes from Seaview in it. Interesting. At least I can say that my electrics have been severe weather rated.

We watched it from the roof whilst drinking beer after a weeks work (boss ain't a bad bloke)... then ran like fuck when it got to us... we huddled in a corner together and rode it out... that was pretty vicious... but pretty short lived... them insurance companies will be feeling the sting after all of those yachts tipped over (bugga)... glad to see the boats home... must have been green indeed... the plumbing didn't back up did it (ahhhh I remember the days)...

It was awesome to watch. Went from calm to very strong gusts in no time, tree branches everywhere and the inevitable sirens afterwards.

It was a pretty interesting ride home, dodging falling tree branches along Cambridge Terrace makes for an interesting change from dodging cars. Bloody windy going up the Wainui Hill. My little 225cc bike can normally do it in 5th gear but I usually cruise over in 4th. Today I was down to 3rd gear and it was struggeling to maintain speed into the wind.

Good to know, since my RF lives outside.

Barbarian. Perhaps I should mention that I went through all the electricky connections on the bike and made sure they'll stand up when this happens. RFs apparently have a bit of a reputation for not liking the wet.

I'm no barbarian. But there's only room in my garage for one bike, so there's no choice to make between the RF, and my gixxer.
