*********RIDE IS ON*************
Meeting Point:
Avalon Duckpond - Map Location (http://maps.google.co.nz/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=118237826601181735195.000480d72d318e0234bb6&z=16)
Time:
10.10am for 10.30am departure
This is a preliminary ride for those that may not have ridden out to the coast before. (Note this ride is also programmed for next Tuesday 16th and also the Alternative Wednesday Ride on 17th March and so this Saturday 13th ride provides an early opportunity to ride the Wainuiomata Hill and the weaving road out to the coast.)
The ride will be at 250cc novice pace, with a designated lead rider and tail end rider.
The ride is open to all riders and assistance from experienced riders is appreciated.
RIDER RESPONSIBILITY
As a road user you are personally responsible for your own safety, riding behaviour, and observing the Road Code at all times, whether riding independently or in a group of two or more bikes.
ALCOHOL/DRUGS
All riders attending this ride are requested to refrain from any alcohol consumption before and after this ride (until they return home). Riders that may be taking prescription drugs are asked to seriously consider whether to ride. Any other drug users – don’t bother attending.
Riders are encouraged to read the guide before attending the programmed rides.

Footnote:
At the ride briefing I will make a riding safety announcement and specifically will state that although I am Ride Co-Ordinator, I am neither a professional motorcycle rider nor instructor. There is no mentoring role other than ensuring a lead rider and tail end rider are designated, and that the pace is geared toward the slower 250cc novice rider. Senior and experienced riders of all sized bikes are welcomed and encouraged to attend.
