I don't know why you are all surprised, I've been saying that it would never happen from day 1. Too much bullshit and red tape to go through. I think we can fairly say goodbye to the V8's for the next 4 or 5 years atleast, maybe forever. We will have to wait and see.

Thers plenty of land, good access, busses, train, motorway and all around manukau. I think they should build a new stadium there. Then the Steelers could use it and they would have to be part of the "premier divisio" ..... Ups should i have posted in a rugby forum

funniest thing was one of the people AGAINST the race was winging and moanin that the Well cIty Council had spent 170 grand to try get the race on.

It's obvious you don't live near it. And don't say it was there before the neighbours, since the advent of year round rugby life is pretty damn unbearable for them.
