Oww. Likely the council will cover your uninsured losses on that. They are not supposed to leave unsignposted loose gravel around.

Glad you're well enough to post. Much damage to the bike? Question for the more experienced on KB, what's the best thing to do in the aforementioned circumstances, I assume, leave the brakes and throttle alone and ride it out? or will it just go down? answers please in a plain brown envelope.

I didn't go to Mokau this weekend so I'm three weeks out of date, but a lot of the loose metal on that road comes down from the hills above. I suppose the OP could consider a claim against God?

Why not call them and tell them about it so they clean it up ? Would save you the trouble of picking gravel out of your arse, as well as the paperwork.

sorry to hear that. Hope you and the SV are ok. Same bloody thing happened to me on a GB400, 50 metres away from Wellington hospital. Picked myself up, noticed my forearm was snapped ( looked like I had a 2nd elbow in my arm ) walked into the hospital, dosed up on morphine, next day had a plate put in my arm, which is in there for life.
Bike was written off, didn't think to follow up with the council.
