Had a great round, good weather...thanks Nigel, Not one glitch in the whole day.

Qualifying

Since i didnt come to the practice day on the saturday, i was abit rusty compared to everyone. Only got 5 laps, Still Taupo is a well known track to me so i had no problem qualifing 5th with a time of 1.29 seconds.

Race 1

Didnt hold back one bit, was chattering the front wheel abit and the bike wouldnt brake into corners properly as the fornt wheel jack-hammered evertime i put brakes on. I got an average start, but passed 3 people of one corner then passing a few others making my way to 3rd, i was getting close to Ryan Firn in second, until my fornt end jack-hammered into a corner and knocked me off the bike. Abit dissapointing considering i was doing a 1.27 sec lap and running with Daniel Mettam and Ryan Firn.

Race 2

I set the goal of finshing the race this time, so no late braking. Got another average start, after about 4 corners i was in 4th, which i battled for with David Croft throughout the race. My best lap was a 1.28 which was not as good but atleast i stayed on the bike, and the bike only jack-hammered alittle. Happy with 4th in that race, out of 10 riders so not too bad.

My last race on the KRR150, ridng a gt250r for the last round of the pacfic series, and the winter series.Im looking forward to the 250 because i fell restricted on the KRR in braking and suspension, Great racing this weekend, most fun ive ever had racing streetstock.

Also good luck to tyler with fidn the issue with the RG, its a pity it didntwant to stay on the track!

Bring on the next round! -MAX

You were looking really good out there in race one, definitely the best this season.
If you hadn't parked it just past point 4 you were looking like a serious challenger for Ryan and Daniel.

i knw!, its a shame i decided to brake so late for that one corner, i guess i just wanted to catch Danile and Ryan so much, although the bike shouldnt jack-hammer like that, probualy need to soften up the forks. Even though i crashed im glad i showed that i can run with them, but need to sort out suspension so i can stay on the bike!

Not a lot you can do Max, and thats what i like about it, once the bike is set up you don't have to outlay much more.
A set of race fairings, heavier fork oil, crank the rear shock up, some new road tyres, may be a couple of sprocket changes and get as much weight off the bike as i can (and myself) and were racing as simple as that.
So looking forward to some close racing this year, wont be fast "BUT" will be "FUN".
Cheers Russ.
