Ok guys unfortunately due to an eyesight problem the bike has to go, I don’t want to sell it but safety of myself and others is more important.
To some peoples discust a cage is still fine for me to drive:shutup:

This project has been a while in the making with much money spent, follows is a rundown of the bike.

1998 NSR250R 4J
De-restricted engine
MC-21 replica fairing kit (not perfect but has had a decent amount of cosmetic work including a re-spray in flame red.
Factory Magtec rims painted gloss black.
Frame and swing arm re-sprayed in gloss black also.
New headstock bearings
New rear brake pads.
New notoll uni filters
New grips.
Replaced radiator
Replaced thermostat
Spare housing with water pump.
New spark plugs.
Replacement ignition system.
New battery (Top brand can’t remember the name starts with "y")
Oil injection pump removed.
According to the previous owner the bike has had a rebuild less than 4,000k's ago, thermostat was replaced by previous owner.

The bike runs on premix, and comes with ~600ml of high quality scented 2stroke oil, this oil is tested to run the bike cleaner than your average oils and give good performance, was around $80 for 1L

This bike went for a wof check a few weeks ago, it only failed on minor things such as no rear reflector, no plastic chain guard and missing muffler brackets, only one muffler bracket is needed as I have the other and also have reflector.
I have priced all these parts from a bloke on tm, guard $30 and muffler mount $25

Unfortunately I cannot complete the wof as I have run out of work so can’t afford the measly $55 plus p&p to get the required parts.

Currently the only con to this bike apart from no current wof is that the carb will need re-jetting to run for premix and free flow intake, the carbs have been removed for inspection and quote but as above I now do not have the funds to do so.

Looking at the current value of these bikes on trademe they are worth in the region of 4k, I think this is a fair price for the amount of money I have put into this bike, based on that alone I will be loosing out by selling it.

I am looking for around $3500 or near offer as is where is, the longer I hold onto this bike the more work I will do towards the wof and re-jetting when I am able to afford to.

If by chance I finish the bike it will be sold with wof and reg this will put the price up to around 4k though.

So if you are in the market for an awesome bike at what I think is a very fair price get in quick, inspections are more than welcome, it will be a sad day to see this bike go after the care , work and money I have put into it.

Good quality picture will soon follow, any questions you can PM me, email me at ffn-snissanz@hotmail.com or txt 0278427446

I will consider trades of car/ute/van/4x4 of equal value or lesser value+cash

Will not be listed on tm for sometime due to funds.
