Been a while since I wrote one of these race report thingies.

Was a last minute decision to race this round so the week before was spent swapping motor into my old chassis. Arrived Sunday morning only to find the bottom fairings wouldn't fit. Oh well.

Posties qualifying went ok with a best time of 1:56.55 which put me 10th on the grid.

F3 practice, got out there and I had NO power. Watched everyone fly past me then my temp started climbing so I pulled in. Qualified 24th with a best time of 2:04.48 :( Checked the bike over. Topped up the water and taped up the holes in the airbox(the rubber grommets were sitting on the bench at home)

Posties Race 1, Got swamped on the start and still had no power but the temp was staying down so I just did the best I could. Had a good wee battle with another dude on a ZXR400 with no fairings at all. Came 15th with a best time of 1:58.29.

Ripped the tank off and went and asked Mike Webster to help me with finding and fixing the problem. Found the carbs had popped out a bit so was an easy enough fix. Thanks a million Mike and Ange!

F3 Race 1, On the last row of the grid I got a ripper of a start(love the lights!). Was shocked to see I'd beaten Dunco into turn 1 when he flew past me a bit into the first lap. Next thing I see Ben sliding off the track in a big cloud of dust in turn 3.:shit: Swapped places with a guy on a SV a few times. I must have put the shits up him a bit cos he ran wide on the hairpin and stayed on the grass for a fair way down the straight. Couldnt catch him after that and I came in 17th accross the finish line with a best time of 1:54.72.

Posties Race 2, Got another ripper of a start and pushed hard and tried to block as many as I could. Ben flew past me like I was standing still down the straight only to pull off at the end and stop. A few bikes got past me then Abby got past me. Bugger this I thought! I wasn't gunna let her get away so pushed harder. Showed her my front wheel up the inside a couple of times hoping to force a mistake, but she was too quick and got enough of a gap that I couldn't get past her. Came 9th with a best time of 1:52.31

F3 Race 2 Last race of the day and fatigue was setting in. Got another ripper start but every one seemed to be passing me. I thought it'd be best to just finish the race without falling off and call it a day. Came in 17th with best time 1:52.84

Thanks to Pacific Club, BRM and all the sponsors and flaggies for an awesome series!
Thanks Peter Harkess and Dunco for sharing your pit shed, and Sue, Kev and Fruity for all your support and encouragement.

Special thanks to doc for being such a bloody marvelous man.

Good stuff Kelly. Looking forward to the coming 400 battles, provided I can keep a bike both running, and upright for a meeting! (even half a meeting would be nice....)

After getting my bike going really well I thought this was going to be my best round ever. Best laid plans and all...

Posties qualifying, first lap I crashed on turn 2.

Drove home to get a heap of spares that I should have taken with me in the first place.:slap: Replaced radiator, both radiator brackets, footpeg mount, handlebar and front brakes. Passed scrutineering just in time for the second Posties race.

Started on the back of the grid and gained a few places from my terrific start. Had issues seeing my scratch marks through turn 2 so was pretty slow for the whole race. Came in 11th place of 17 starters with a best time of 1:26.3

Last race F3, once again on the back of the grid, made up a few places with my wicked launch off the line.:headbang: Settled into it once I was sure my tyres were up to temp only to be passed by another 3 riders. Came in 19th of 24 starters with a best time of 1:24.6

Felt good to be racing after my disasterous start to the day. Thanks to all who helped with the repairs.

Was cool to pit with Dunco, Korn and BB2. Well done all of you!

Thanks to Pacific Club, BRM, Burrell Signs and all the sponsors for an awesome series. Also all the Marshals for doing a great job. And Mr Ambo guy for patching me up.:doctor:

KELLY !!!!! your amazing, when we picked you up at turn 2 and put the bike on the trailer, i thought bugger, that bike is a mess, broken bits everywhere, no way thats going out again today.
Then "BUGGER ME" i turn around on dummy grid, and there you are ready to go, unbelievable you guys must have worked dam hard to get that back together, a credit to you all.
And watching you racing around the track like nothing had happened you looked great, well done.
