How many people have been visiting this site? I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks it's not a very professional looking website, especially as the main source of promotion for the National Series.

It certainly looks fairly amateur compared to the NZV8's website - http://www.nzv8s.co.nz/

Sure there is a huge difference in funding, but it doesn't take a whole lot of time, effort, or money to make a tidy, simple and effective website - something I think you'd want if you're trying to grow the sport and the spectator base.

There certainly is a wealth of information on there compared to previous years but it seems like a lot of it is lost in the delivery.

What are your thoughts?

I check it out all the time and thought that myself, so much so I sent a email saying I'd offer my graphic skills for free to help out. :D

In all honesty I had similar thoughts. I'm no web design guru, but given that there is nearly 9 months before the 2011 Nationals start I figured that a well designed layout could be produced in time to help promote the Nationals free-of-charge - if the right people were willing to help out.

Even getting the small things right like correctly sizing and cropping images so they aren't distorted would make a big difference!

Not really the right time but you could always approach a tertiary institution. The final part of the IT degree at WINTEC is a 400 hour project of the students choosing (quite a few businesses use this as a way to get work done for free/cheap). So redesigning the website could appeal to someone. Would need to wait until the start of the next semester though!
