Hi
So when I'm at 120 kph and above the GS1200SS just becomes so nice to ride. Seems to float a long and hardly needs much steering input.
But around town she can some times be a bit of a pig. Not bad but no where as nice as when it is at speed.
Also it feels slightly better with a full tank of gas.
So what adjustments can I make so that it might handle slightly better at the slower speeds.
Thanks
Richard

That's the major reason I got rid of mine - the darn thing just rode so much better at license losing speeds ..........
You could make your settings a bit softer, which will probably degrade the high speed handling.
But really for around town riding the 1200ss is heavy - clip-ons and the crouch with relatively 'standard' steering (not quick like a GSXR) plus a couple hundred plus KG of metal to muscle around = rider input.
On the bright side just think of the Gym fees that you can save on!

In the front springs and Race Tech emulators appropriate to your personal stats. In the rear revalve the internal piston stacks so there is at least a modicum of compliance over nasty bumps. No amount of external adjustment is going to turn that bike into a silk purse, the problem is fundamentally with the internals.
I always laugh when I read ''fully adjustable suspension'' Thats as big a lie as Helen Clark saying ''I didnt realise we were speeding''. External adjuters only adjust bypass bleed, and the range is very very narrow. There is in fact always an optimum bleed setting and you valve around it, just ask any suspension tuner that knows a LOT about suspension and has been doing so for decades rather than say 2 or 3 or 4 years.
