Anyone have any experience with these things... We're thinking quite seriously about one, well my wife is, and just thought I'd ask about reliability etc... yes I know it's a motorcycle forum...

Does it have a V6? Two extra spark plug means twice more labour ;)

There aren't a lot of cars that age that are "bad" - particularly from a big manufacturer (Toyota excepted)....

There might be bad (mistreated & unmaintained) examples of that model though.

Except that they're a stinking SUV aren't they? The motorcycle's natural predator.

MPV - same platform as the Mazda 3 if it's a 2005 onwards. The 3's a pretty well regarded motor isn't it?

The one we're looking at, is supposedly sold elsewhere as the Mazda 5 according to the Pedia of Wiki... I've done the usual google etc... and they don't seem to be exhibiting any problems (apart from the exhaust explosions in the US)... so was just wondering how people in general get on with the thing... perhaps ya'll is too rich to afford such a low end ve-hicle... :)

MPV - the SUV's little bastard offspring.....

The MZR engines that Mazda use are pretty good, AFAIK.

Especially those ones who sell to Americans........
Anyone notice that out of all the US complaints about Toyota, there have been no Scion complaints........
Seems most american motorist haven't joined the dots there........

Back to main topic - that mazda is ok......tis a bit gutless on the cheaper models though.
You may want to consider the Honda Oddessy and Toyota Previa's if you want more grunt.

If it was grunt related i'd keep the Mazda MPV that we have... We had an Odyssey and changed it to a MAzda because of the seating arrangement... better for me with 3 kids under 6... easier for me to get to them when they're in need of a little chat... so not worried aboot gutless wonders, else I wouldn't have bought the Aprilia with it's litre engine and class leading 110bhp ...

If you had got Sky television installed in your bedroom a few years ago, you wouldn't need to be asking this question, Gord!

heh, heh... function and cost over form... but true, it doesn't look too bad... I may pop along to the neighbours (who have a Premacy) house and ask them tomorrow... noooo, not if they're Mazda-baters... although in the UK when a scouser, that you don't know, asks to see inside your car you'd tell him to fuck off, get in the car, lock the doors and and floor it, before they have your wheels off and you end up on bricks...

I could have done that little "operation" for you. I would have used a couple of bricks. Wouldn't have hurt at all.... I would have held my thumbs out of the way....

I remember you telling me at the time you were showing me your groin... Am hoping to have certain life things sorted before the end of April and hopefully get to Manfeild to see your dazzling smile at the end of next month... Fingers crossed...
