i've searched for those bikes on your forum, but there are some old threads about.
I understand that, being this a large community, the amount of er6 bikers cannot be huge in any way, also because this has always been a "side" bike.
On the other hand i think that there's no better way for me to contribute here than being a "connection" between the two hemispheres bringing with you the dedicated 1500 people's community i'm in.
so, any question, any idea to get this bike better: i'd be glad to learn and more glad to share with you what we've found...
i begin with a simple one: the connection between intake's collectors, to reduce on-off effects.
did somebody there adopted it? hows working? i'm interested in feedback...:niceone:

I have only just bought one, and I have no idea what you are on about.
Do you have one as well? What year , type etc.
I just got a 2009, Blue 650r (er-6f), and I'm loving it.

i've had one. 2008.
the old model had a very annoying on-off effect.
with the new eprom map they've a little set it better, but still remain.
i'm a mod in the italian er6 forum, and we found a solution connecting the intake pipe, under the tank.
if you can manage a little do-it-yourself work, it's highly recommended. :niceone:
i put here tre pics: the first one is what you should obtain, the second is the original situation, the third the probes without caps.
use a gas tube with internal 4mm.
piece of cake....

I've got a ER-6n, made a couple of changes
-New bars
-Arrow Slip-on
What I would like to do
- Rear Hugger
- Tail Tidy
- maybe some frame sliders
- Wouldn't mind looking at some Ohlins suspension?
Has anyone else got any of these parts? Also I had a crack in the right hand side frame weld which was repaired for free by Kawasaki - anyone else had this done?

almost everybody here changes the original handlebar, cause that one os too high.
the exhaust change is common too, but i've to say that i'm one of the few who actually like the original... :)

good points.
the rear hugger was a true miss in the old model, and truly speaking the one that comes with the my09-10 is a mockery. way too small, completely useless...
the tail, the original it's good for me... anyway, go for it if you want... :)
frame sliders are always suggested. remember only that, concerning the problem at the frame weld, kawa don't permit to use aftermarket sliders. so i suggest to use originals...
about the suspensions: the er6 is truly an astonishing value for money, but suspensions suck. the only "necessary" change for that bike is a complete kit, way before exhaust, eprom, filters and so on... so i'm with you on this... :niceone:

yep.
a lot of us.
we wrote years ago to kawasaki as forum, and the factory send us a letter where they understood the problem and gave us life warranty about the frame.
the only condition is not to have mounted aftermarket frame sliders.
i'm happy to see that they applied this consideration for their customer all around the world.
i can attach here the letter, but it's in italian, i don't know if it could be useful... :niceone:
