A lot of the younger riders I see on for example "The Motorcycle Show" (Triangle 20:30 Fridays) I first saw on a bucket racer. Craig Shirriffs, Karl Morgan, and Hayden Fitzgerald. Those three have a bit of a pedigree of course but even so. I haven't noticed him recently but there's a young Wood bloke as well.
What are the chances of me getting past any of them now - "0"

Dominic Jones who finished second riding the 600 class in the 300km race is another with Bucket racing pedigree
Steve Woods was out on what looked like John Hepburns old 600 at levels yesterday but I didn't see how he was going

You know someone fast???
I'm about 1/2 way through fitting an RS125 shock to the old bucket and the new one is stil making snail-like pace toward completion.
If neither of them does it I'll sort the McIntosh out. Actually on Taupo the bucket is probably faster than the Mac. I can do about the same as the fast guys on RG150s

Yeah at levels(full track) we can beat about 1/2 the guys on RG150s in the dry and just about all of them in the wet

Same, in the wet I won. One of the RGs had a nice front end lose right in front of me off the end of the front straight. Bit worrying when you're doing the same speed and on the same tyres, and about 3" (75mm) apart.

Stevie Woods broke his foot a little while back on a bucket I believe. On a 600 eh? ‘cause he’s tiny. Mind you he’s probably grown considerably since I last saw him. Add to the list Daniel McLochlin (can’t spell it) until he dropped it all for flying planes. Chris Sales if he had the motivation to get a decent ride, Jay Laurence did well at the endurance 300.
Any idea what happened to Chris Sheriffs? He was great to watch on an RS.
Remember him grumbling he was too old to get a wildcard ride for Aus GP many moons ago, but then Dennis got in what was it 2000 or 99? Ohh, just mentioned 2 more.

Stopped in for a chat with Morley a few weeks back and he mentioned that Chris had been doing vintage motocross. Morley was tinkering with a DT360 at the time.
Jay Lawrence is quick on a bucket. So is Steve Coombs (Fish). F5 Dave is quick as well. Hamish Laing is quick Derek McAdam is aswell and so is Steve Scullion they are all from the Welly Wood region bucket scene
