Well we had a couple of spits last night too but it wasn't enough to even bruise the current dry!

Hey SPman who is/was the lucky guy in your new avatar? :shit:

Lucky thing I packed the bike away a week ago.

Roll on summer.

Send some our way, we are in danger of disappearing down the cracks in the back yard.

Amen to that - no significant rain at Coro since Christmas. Cracks in lawn are inhabited by crickets and skinks trying to find moisture.

I was just reading in the Harold, they are not forecasting any significant rain for the north for another month! We are on town supply water here, but the people on tanks are really struggling now. We ran out at work last week.

We're on tank water - 18000 litres and I've had to top it up 4 times this year which is unheard of. Fortunately, we have a mains connector at the bottom of the garden although it's not permanently attached so I just run a hose to the tanks when we need to. Costs about $16 for a full refill from the mains, as opposed to over $100 to get a tanker in. Unfortunately for most of our road, town supply stops just past our place so there's no alternative to a tanker when they run low. (Oh, the local fire brigade have been known to help out for a few cartons of beer!)

Yeeha for the community spirit! Good for you. It used to be like that back in the day up this way, we are too close to the smke these days. The taint has coloured alot of transactions

I hate grey days and rain, but you know, I would LOVE it to simply rain, and rain ,and rain. My garden is dead, I have abandoned my vege garden, though a trusty pumpkin is going hard out (I reckon it thinks it is going to die so is reproducing hard out as a result) The rest of it is toasted.

NO cold though, just rain, and lots of it
