I saw some LTNZ stats that said May has the highest accident rate of the year. Cagers also seem to be unusually aggressive/incompetent at the moment.
And we have had a lot of bins within KB lately.
Is there an Ides of May?

Change of season thing I guess with people (especially new riders / drivers) not adjusting to the change...

> a little bit darker during commuting hours so visibility isn't so good for judging distances
> road more inclined to be damp / wet / frosty, therefore slippery
> cold temperatures causing bikers to become colder and slowing reaction times
> same thing causing cagers to crank up the heater and get a bit dozey

Maybe its got something to do with the time the sun sets and the time alot of people are on the road (travelling from work etc.)

Would have to explore the stats more to find what was the cause for these accidents and what time.

More accidents happen at dusk and dawn than other times I'm sure.

My guesstimate would be that people haven't got into their winter mindset yet, and so more likely overstep the bounds.

And sunstrike. I'm thinking seriously about taping over the top half of my visor.

ya i second this, and when the road is wet and the sun is low and you cant see shit, think about how much the car behind you can see
