Well, assuming you do the test, and then give them your email addy that they will no doubt require you can subtract 20 points for all the spam you will receive.

That's why you have an email account for spam.

Does that make me a genius, decidedly average or as stupid as a cabbage?

I did a "proper" test a wee while ago and scored 131. But I don't go much by IQ tests as a measure of intelligence. I don't think I'm gifted just an ordinary bloke. Personally I think one's intelligence is reflected in how many of your friends and family like and respect you, value your opinion and enjoy your company.

that would be more a measure of charisma. i fail to see how it relates to intelligence.

I don't think these online tests are very accurate (especially when they only include maths and literacy based questions). I tried one once and it said my IQ was 163. Then I did a real test and I scored 147.

Results so far seem to be headed much the same way as this one. People are lying or the test doesn't work very well at all.

OR, the internet is usually so honest and realiable and KB is full of very intelligent people.:innocent:

that would be more a measure of charisma. i fail to see how it relates to intelligence.

"Charisma (Greek "kharisma," meaning "gift," "of/from/favored by God/the divine") is a trait found in persons whose personalities are characterized by a personal charm and magnetism (attractiveness), along with innate and powerfully sophisticated abilities of interpersonal communication and persuasion. One who is charismatic is said to be capable of using their personal being, rather than just speech or logic alone, to interface with other human beings in a personal and direct manner, and effectively communicate an argument or concept to them."

Bill Clinton has charisma... :shifty:

Friends and family are not fooled for long and pretty quickly put you in a box. I gave three criteria including respect and valued opinion. We may love our friends and family unconditionally and forgive them their faults and even appreciate their personalities, but which ones do we go to to talk about serious matters? Are you a respected and trusted confidant, do people stop talking and listen to you when you start speaking?

One can be charismatic without being intelligent, some confuse cleverness and wit with intelligence. Yes, academic ability is a measure of intelligence but only an aspect of it and people differ in the way they think and see things which can disadvantage them in IQ tests.

Online tests like these are inherently flawed because the people who are tempted to enter already have a positive inkling of their IQ.

It is a bit like schools that put their 'failures' in a shed doing nothing for 6 months and then boast that of the students that took NCEA, 90% passed when in fact half the kids left with no qualifications at all.

130. I usually go between 115 and 125 on 'real' IQ tests so I guess this is a little bit generous to make you like the site and pay them $$$ to join.

opposite for me. i got 149 on a mensa test 2 or 3 years back (146 on this one). not a bad comparison for a totally different type of test though

Cards are ok,dyslexics think in pictures, and I use mental images of cards or dice to add and subtract.Counting on fingers in my head....but with the same problem,I stop at 10.Card games with scores are out.
