View Full Version : Woman? Are they really worth the hassle? I hope so!

Bloody hell, I'd arranged to have dinner tonight with a young lass that I quite fancy. I've known her for a while (month or so) so thought I'd better go to a bit of effort before asking if she wanted to take things further. Bought a couple of salmon fillets, nice bottle of wine, made dessert, cleaned up a bit. You know the general things a guy will do to get his end away :innocent:
This was arranged yesterday morning. My brother knows about it cos I kicked him out for the night just in case things went well.
I had to pick her up from her place as her car had broken down.
I turn up there tonight and knock on the door. Her father answers and I ask if the young lass is home. Nope sorry not at the moment. Oh where's she gone?
Long story short she's left me high and dry and not even a phone call to say she couldn't make it. The look of pity on her parent's faces, I'll never forget it. I have to say I was slightly embarrassed, and it takes ALOT to embarrass me!
Time to move on and spend my precious time on someone else.
Anyone want to come round and enjoy a nice salmon fillet, glass of wine and dessert? I'm bored outta my tree. I think I'll go and get pissed.
Rant over!

Thats why us kiwis consume it so fast! We know that it gets "stale?" if left for more than a couple of hours after opening.

Don't worry bro, we all go through some form or another.
I booked a table at a not-too-formal restaurant in town for a girl I quite fancy, long story short ended up inviting a friend along at the last minute.
We were both stuffed off our faces, and it was only a single main meal.
I managed to get a glorious picnic out of her on the Sunday following, though. Didn't even get a kiss on the cheeks, hint taken :(

1.) Get as many applications out as you can
2.) Get as many interviews as you can
3.) Get as many offers as you can
4.) Take the best offer you get, but don't tell the others "no" straight away.
If you prepare for 100% success to only 1% of step one, you are going to be disappointed.

Yeah but that is age dependant. I think the worst mistake is to get tied down or too serious before you're 30, and just as bad is being alone after that.

Seriously agree with you re 30's and single(well late)was fun times, but with maturity comes realisation life alone can be no fun.Glad my folks found other partners when they did, can't imagine them alone now they're late 60's,and lots pf folks are alone for years after their partners died,my grandmother and ma in law case and points, both husbands died when they were mid 40's and kids to look after, then never found companionship, long time alive and alone, thank god the latest generation have the right idea, age is no barrier to finding a partner.

no women are not worth it. stay single and pay for a professional lover once a week. its waaayyyyy cheaper, and you get your life to yourself.
whatever happens dont fuckin get married, thats really dumb. and think bloody hard before baking your bread in her oven. thats when you cant just jump on your bike anymore and go wherever the fuck you want. thats if you get to keep the bike, coz she gonna want a house, and a couple of nice cars first. it will become absolutely vital to be concerned about what the neighbours think of you.
and you will have to clean the house, a lot. and she will still claim she does all the housework.

I'm with Mudfart (except for maybe the use of prostitutes). Women will use their wiles to draw you into their trap and then slowly and subtly they begin to drain your life, your freedom, and your money away. So subtle is it that you don't notice UNTIL IT IS TOO LATE!
Finally, when you realise, you try to escape! But lo! They have ways of keeping you in their clutches. They are not afraid to use any and all of the sinister tools they have at their disposal! (and believe me, there are many)
The lucky few who ultimately do make it out alive are left permanently scarred. Although they have been through much terror and hardship a void has been left in their life as they no longer remember how it is to live alone and free. In the end the void is too much to bear and the only way out is to once again fall prey to a woman's grim designs...

The person who loves the least rules the relationship. Seems you put in all the effort and well she just couldnt be bothered with you. Don't waste your time. Find someone who respects you enough to contact you at least to say she cant make it, its not hard to make a phone call. The secret to a good relationship (I think) is someone who is honest with you, and who wants to be with you, but also respects that you are both individuals. Basically find someone who has the same expectations as you.
