TRUTH SERUM (Wild Turkey) for the win.
Caution! Don't drink this stuff if you value your relationship - or your trees, or neighbours, or brain cells.

Jim for preference but 'Old Crow' tastes pretty good out of the empty Jim bottle. Woodys are nice enough and I bought a 12 pack of Diesel at $20 yestrerday and that is adequate drinking. The only one I just don't like is 'Heaven Hill'.

I got a 900g bag of Jack Daniels chunks for $10. It was just a one off special deal though at Harvey Norman. I usually pay $27.95 for a 500g bag.

I'm not sure if we are talking about the same thing.
But you can get a Jim Beam Rye (have tried a bottle of it once) and it has a yellow label and is not a bad drop at all.
Spicy (in one word) is the way I found it to drink.

Tried any of the Jim Beam Small Batch series? Bakers is not too bad, a sippin' bourbon, not for sculling and definitely not for mixing with lolly water.

Could be this one:
Basil Haydens
Age: 8 years
Proof: 80
Color: Golden amber
Aroma: Spice, tea, hint of peppermint
Taste: Spicy, peppery, honey, light-bodied, gentle bite
Finish: Dry, clean, brief
Award: Silver Medal Button
HistoryThe eponymous Basil Hayden'sŪ Bourbon dates back to 1796, when Master Distiller Basil Hayden Sr. created a recipe unlike any other. He used a traditional corn base, but mixed in small grains in his mash to capture the spicy flavor of rye and complement the sweet smoothness of corn. More than 200 years later, Basil Hayden's is a singular bourbon that bridges the flavor of rye whiskies and small batch bourbons together.
It is one of the Jim Beam Small Batch bourbons. If the Bakers I bought is anything to go by, it's gonna be quite spendy.
