Run From The Cure: How Cannabis Cures Cancer And Why No One Knows
By Rick Simpson - Friday, March 7 2008

Cannabis sativa hemp, the miracle plant, contains the cure for cancer and other ailments

My name is Rick Simpson. I have been providing people with Hemp Oil medicines, at no cost, for about three years. The results have been nothing short of amazing. Throughout man's history hemp has always been known as the most medicinal plant in the world. Even with this knowledge, hemp has always been used as a political and religious football. I want this knowledge out there for everyone to learn! Watch the documentary Run From The Cure to understand more about using cannabis as a cure for cancer and other medical problems!
The current restrictions against hemp were put in place and maintained, not because hemp is evil or harmful, but for big money to make more big money, while we suffer and die needlessly. Look at a proposal such as this; if we were allowed to grow hemp in our back yards and cure our own illnesses, what do you think the reaction of the pharmaceutical industry would be to such a plan?

Many large pharmaceutical companies that still exist today sold hemp based medicines in the 1800's and early 1900's. They knew then what I have recently found out. Hemp oil if produced properly is a cure-all that the pharmaceutical industry can't patent.

please explain why the pharmaceutical companies CAN'T patent it. If there was money to be made somewhere, then one of the worlds largest most ruthless murdering corporations, I am sure, would do it.
I also imagine that most of the worlds polititians have large shares in such corporations, so law changes or "amendments" wouldn't be an issue.
Neither is accepting kickbacks to cause said law reforms, so I dont get it.

I dont know about patent law at all.

I do remember Monsanto was playing with transgenetically modified bamati rice and then tried to patent basmati rice as their own because they had 'designed' it. India kicked up a huge fuss and Monsanto buried it themselves

Yer you can't really patent stuff that's already everywhere. The internet is littered with stories about weed saving you, and plastic bags killing you - YMMV.

My grandmother was a trained apothacarist (pharmacist) who administered cannabis tinctures to the sick

Most new findings are in newspapers like the Washington Post or articles published by Harvard and reputable sources

This is for real! Get over it!

Well, you'd think so wouldn't you, but Monsanto do it all the time. They get their scientists to analyse the substance and decode the genome, patent the knowledge of the genome and voila, they claim to 'own' something that someone else has been growing for thousands of years. It's called Biopiracy and American multinationals are leading the way.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commercialization_of_traditional_medicines . Once the genome is patented they can then sue people to stop planting or growing the substance that they just sold. Oh, it's an easy life when you are a gargantuan trans-national corporation!

That would be like trying to patent a tree.

Besides, anyone can grow the crap, why would you pay top dollar to the drug companies for a diluted product?

OK, it seems it can be done, the world is fucked.

They have to genetically modify it somewhat to claim they own it, otherwise under patent laws Mother Nature invented it, so then the corporations make basmati rice that has some kind of inherent bug killer in it. Seemingly helpful (less crops lost to bugs) but great for getting testicular cancer probably.

Actually, dspite cannabis being regarded by the USA FDA as having no useful medical use.. (and thus it is schedule 1 alongside smack and crack) its use and methods of use for medical application was and still remains subject to patent. Who holds it? the USA Government.

I don't want to get into a big dispute as to weather or not weed 'kills all your brain cells' but what really disappoints me is how much time the police and courts end up enforcing these draconion laws, while violent thugs and bike thieves don't even get snapped. What's worse; a couple of people toking up in the privacy of their own home or some niggas thieveing a Ceffy? Take your picl.

That would be like trying to patent a tree.

I don't think it's so much that they can't patent it, it's that they can't (effectively) control the growing and sale (and therefore the $$).

Mrs Mully's mother has a medical issue - and one of the only effective treatments is a 30+ year old anti-depressant. This anti-depressant isn't officially used for treatment of this illness because the patents have expired and there's no money for the drug companies to do the research to prove conclusively that it works.

So there's a non-profit charity trust trying to do clinical trials and real-word testing. Mrs Mully's mother's data is sent to them to add to their database.

Big Pharma is much like Government. Don't for a second believe they're on your side.

Medical marijuana already exists. It's called Marinol.

A pharmaceutical product, Marinol, is widely available through prescription. It comes in the form of a pill and is also being studied by researchers for suitability via other delivery methods, such as an inhaler or patch. The active ingredient of Marinol is synthetic THC, which has been found to relieve the nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapy for cancer patients.

Stupid mistakes, forgetting stuff, losing sunglasses, girlfriends, money, cannabis is great aint it?

My pharmacist granny administered cannabis tincture's, the plant material is steeped in alcohol for a month, then reduced. Sublingually kept under the tongue, goes straight to the brain.... instead of swallowed and via the stomcah and liver which tends to soak it up instead of the prefered brain.

I never cough or hack cause I dont do bongs or buckies. When I used to do bongs and that, I used to cough.... the really big hit is not a good thing to do.

I had a whole joint of primo indoor in one bucky hit and was never the same...I do not recommend it

You know ive heard that same line from every stoner i know. Sorry but it doesnt cut it, who cares if its good for you or not, it IS ILLEGAL! Im sure theres plenty of other things out there that are good for you too, that are also illegal. Stealing all someones money makes you richer, but you wouldnt do that would you?

FFS have some respect for the law and maybe, just maybe the law might have some respect for you. No wonder the cops are assholes half the time, having to deal with people who genuinely believe it is ok to break the law (which their entire purpose is to uphold) because it serves them a purpose.

Grow up.

Now.... time to don my flame suit
