I stumbled upon this event, which is on today:
http://www.bikesbbqblues.co.nz/
It is on at Fort Takapuna, at Narrow Neck beach in Devonport, North Shore City. When I left there was a good couple of hundred bikers having a good time.
I think it is open to 5pm. Live band. Lots of antique bikes to look at. Some vendors.

Yep, it was a great event- the food selection was thin but if there is a next time that could easily be addressed by giving attendance numbers to the vendors, and plenty of people turned up.
And what an awesome location, grass, views, live blues music and bikes on a sunny Sunday- you can't go wrong. The best bike gathering I have attended in Auckland for years.
Bike was covered in fingerprints when I got back to it, don't you hate that:angry2:
But I got a free copy of Kiwirider on my seat for my troubles, so all good:niceone:
I would definately go again, and Riding for the Disabled is such a good cause to donate to, big 'ups' to the organisers for everything

I think I would prefer a charity that was motorcycle focused in some way as being more preferable, as opposed to a horse club.

The Kiwirider's were free!!?? There were a pile on the Triumph tent table that I think big Dave put there, but I didn't know I could have one without stealing it.
A great day, lots of normally everyday bikes that people really ride, lots of stuff to check out.Saw some people I haven't seen for several weeks....and some I haven't seen for several years.
It was terrible coming up to Auckland on SH1 as all the bikes were heading south.I went home via Clevdon,Hunua,Mercer and SH22,so got to lean the bike over a couple of times.

I saw some magazines inside the hall but thought they were for sale or display, but maybe someone just left one on my seat, maybe it might be in the next issue, maybe I better go to bed, it's late...
