Had an interesting start to my day. I stopped in at the Eastridge P.O. on my way in to get the mail and pick up some courier bags.
As I approached the counter behind the local Lotto lady and a young Maori lad, we heard a commotion behind us and turned to see the ACM, (Armourguard), guy have a shotgun pointed at him and his bag snatched. It was over in about 10sec!
The two robbers jumped into their no doubt stolen BMW and hightailed out and North along Kepa road.
They were totally brazen as the act took place right in front of the security camera. The AMC guards, a man and a woman were amazingly calm and composed throughout it all. The Police were called of course and in a few minutes the chopper was circling and sirens were getting rapidly closer.
The young Maori lad, who had just popped in to cash a cheque was gobsmacked as he and his mate had just been laughing about the AMC van pulling in and speculating whether it was going to be robbed. We had been waiting outside for about 5min for the P.O. to open and we saw the BMW pull up but I took no notice of it, whereas the lotto lady had thought it didn't look quite right but said to herself she shouldn't stereotype the occupants... :shifty:
We were all interviewed as there were several witnesses outside the shop at the time as well.
I complimented the guards on their composure and the lady said she was definitely shaken up despite appearing calm and the poor bloke... It was the second time he'd been robbed by armed offenders in recent weeks!
I hope they catch the sods real quick!

Isn't it lucky we have all those gun laws in New Zealand. Imagine if the criminals had guns :shit:

South Africa has much stricter gun laws than NZ. And every second nigga over there has a (illegally owned) hand gun.

You shoulda swung around and kung-foo'ed him and made him scream for his mommy. The chances of missing are quite high though, and maybe he woulda put his gatt in your ear and made you scream for yours.. :shit:

Unfortunately, or fortunately depending upon the probable outcome, I was too far away to be effective. I was at least 5m away and the bad guy was in and out before I could even register what was going on. There was also the risk that the gun could have gone off and shotguns are a bit all over the place, not like a pistol...

rather you than me, no offence. But fuck that!
Glad little ol' Nelson doesn't get much of that crap, think the last one here was the corner dairy with a pocket kinfe, offender was about 14.
Glad you came through it all unscathed and that nobody was hurt or killed.

Perzackery! Even if it was my money, I'd be careful about tackling an armed man.

Nope - Skyryder will be along to tell us its John Keys fault - this would never have happened under Labour.
He delegated this to me. (we are actually friends)
This would never happened while Liabour were in power, Clark and Cullen would have seen to it that they had the use of their ministerial BMW's for the getaway car!
This John Key can't be trusted, he's a slimy bastard he won't lend them his BMW and I bet it wasn't him who loaned them the shotgun either, Clark was good like that!
Gosh the United Nations are doing a lot of good work now Clark's over there fucking up freedom, oops I digress, fuck that Key he's a slimy cunt! :shifty:

Maybe next time she won't be in such a hurry to be PC and realise that there may infact be some value to that feeling that tells you "somethings not right" when certain people are around...

Crazy.
A few years back in Sydney I was dropping the wife off at the train station on my way to work, as we pulled up I noticed some mad shit going on at the dairy across the road, 2 Fuckers came running out in balaclavas, each had a gun, ran around my wagon, past the wife, into the station and jumped onto the train she was going to board.
I suggested she wait for the next one.
Then about a month later only 300m from that spot I called into a shopping center carpark, Though t it was weird how all the people in the shop were crouched down at the windows, I parked up, was getting out of my wagon and a big black naked fucker with dreds comes running across the street, followed by cops, half with their guns on him yelling that they are going to shot.
Fuck me says I.
He was crash tackled onto the concrete right beside me and jumped on by a heap of cops who proceeded to beat the fuck out of him, while I stood their like a moron gawking at the scene, Then I decided that I'd walk off before the cops noticed my wagon had no rego.
When I got to the bottle shop 50m away I was informed the mad fucker had been running around with a gun and had fired off numerous shots, They then pointed out his weapon out on the street, he had dropped it when he ran off.
I would assume that the mad cunt had seen me pull up and decided my car was a way to get the fuck out.....

In New Zealand he would be treated as a model citizen and placed in "custody" with all the mod cons until he was ready to come out with a law degree! :shifty:

Not this one, mate. He was pretty shook up afterwards. Doesn't take much to case the place and know exactly how to do it.

Yeah, she couldn't quite put her finger on what was wrong, more the demeanour of one of the guys than anything else.

I can't believe how naive some people are: all politiicans whatever stripe they are wearing today are lying theiving powerhungry bastards who should be disqualified from being in power by virtue of the fact they want to be in power.
I hate all of them equally, some more equally than others on some days. Honestly, if you hit one in your stolen BMW, you'd back over them to make sure, wouldn't you?

South Africa has much stricter gun laws than NZ. And every second nigga over there has a (illegally owned) hand gun.
But those gun laws only apply to the people who actually buy guns legally. Not to the ones who ship them over the border in containerloads from neighbouring states that have been in civil war for the last 25 years.

That's exactly right. I was used to going to sleep over the sound of gun shots every night.

When a nervous, armed man with his finger on the trigger is in the vicinity, you DO NOT act the hero or even make any sudden moves- how would you feel if the trigger gets pulled and another guys life gets taken, or you lose alimb, or get paralysed? I did not say if you get killed because I am not sure you would feel anything at all? With guns, it is just so easy for MAJOR shit to happen.
All you do is "yes sir, no sir, three bags full sir"

All the while, trying to stay calm enough to make mental notes of everything that may assist the Police when they interview you. There have been a few heroes of late in the news, but as you say, you need to consider that others may get hurt in the crossfire, even if you're not so concerned for yourself.

Trying to do anything is just seriously not worth it for the potential consequnces - not when guns are involved. When you think aboutit- its only money. Probably heavily insured money. Stuff. Is it really worth dying for?
Dying for freedom, principles, beliefs, family I understand, but for somoene else's money? DEFs not worth it!

I agree... :gob::innocent::shutup:
I think what is happening, though of late, is that Jo Public is getting angry and we are likely to see more people taking action against thieves directly and this is concerning the Police who don't want to clean up a public blood bath. It's not so much the money, it's the anger and resentment against those criminals coming more to the fore, a backlash if you like.

Not just the niggas...........
I think he meant "every second nigga" in the sense of "every other joe". And was not a refernce to black people in particular.
At least I hope so....
And yes, every other person in general is armed to the teeth. Normally to their own detriment, since the first time you know you need a gun is when the other person is in the position to take it off you...
