Hampton being the final round.

I would just like to say well done to the AMCC for running and putting on a good show at this track for the final round for the first time.

Yes some things were Not as we would have liked or hoped for or expected even, but rome was not built in a day.

Prize giving unfortunately has raised a few issues, but what is the point in saying thanks to your sponsors in front of other riders only, NOT THE PAYING PUBLIC? Never seen the sense in this part of it any way, but it has always been a tradition to get on the piss after the races any way, and thank all our sponsors in front of each other- ho hum.

FLAGMARSHALLS

THANKS for making it happen!

THANK F THAT PUKE DOES NOT EXIST ANYMORE

Yes well said Shaun, every year its going to get better as the HD develops and the club beds itself in to running the new venue.
To have somewhere as good as HD to race and a club with the personnel and experiance to put on a meeting at a new venue.......bloody brilliant.
Thaks needs to go to KBers for answering the call for extra marshalls, 31ish were needed and 50+ turned up:niceone:

I think the whole racing family needs a big pat on the back..........everyone who had any input at all should take a bow, for without each person offering their time/services the sport wouldn't exist.

Well done to all..........................:niceone::first::clap ::2thumbsup:woohoo:

We always find it hard to get everything together in time (ie before the public leave). Not to sure of a solution but worth thinking about.

It was a great weekend, a big thumbs up for the AMCC and to Hampton Down.
The more I ride the track the more I like it, in fact it's now my favorite track.

I had the good fortune to meet the CEO of Hampton Downs after prizegiving on Sunday. What a nice guy. He listened to my comments about the circuit and was very interested in feedback. The ongoing plans for the circuit are amaising. I wasted his time for about half an hour chatting about the start/finish line position, the oppertunity to run the circuit anticlockwise, and a whole heap of other stuff as well (like extending the liquor licence for prizegivings...lol i could not get another beer....). All i can say is WELL DONE GUYS WHAT A BRILLENT EFFORT. I cant wait for the pit garages with the corperate boxes on them for next year. Oh and the low of cost to hire a apartment and stay at the circuit was fantastic for those that took the oppertunity. I will definitly be booking one for next year. All in all a brillent meeting with very few hickups.

yep i gotta say that i thoughly enjoyed my first visit and it was a pretty well run meeting all around. I have to commend AMCC for having their act pretty well together most the time, things seems to run pretty damn smoothly, which is rare. espcially considering it was really there first meeting at the track

I headed down to Hampton Downs on the Sunday with my son. Thinking I would join a small straggle of loyal bike racing supporters and have the place to our selves (like in previous Puke years), I was pleasantly surprised to see quite a good crowd of people there. We wandered the pits and were confronted by a number of friendly racers willing to sign their personal posters for my son and have a quick chat to me about their; crashes, close calls, progress in the championship... Great stuff and thanks to those for that. My son now has a wall crowded with NZ bike racers on it. HD is still definitely a work in progress and a track that is not without faults (can you imagine coming up and onto the front straight in a wet race??!!!). Having been around HD on a bike on a track day I know the track is awesome to go around on and I look forward to going around there some more in the future and returning to the 2011 Championships as a spectator (or competitor??!!). And as Shaun said, thank god Puke is gone!
