So, went and sat my 6R test yesterday in the Hutt and thankfuily passed it. Was quite quick and painless, took about 15 - 20 mins of actual riding with stops for the assessor to mark.

Would encourage people to go for it and not delay really, I have only ridden about 1500km and the assessor said he had no concerns.

Look forward to more enjoyable riding now some of the restrictions are gone.

Woot! Congratulations. I've got 20 or so days until mine and wishing that I'd booked it earlier. Glad to hear it was a breeze for you. Now you can FINALLY go over 70kph ;) Right? :)

Awesome, I recently just passed my restricted there too. LONG overdue and like everyone else that has delayed I wished I had done it earlier. The test itself was a breeze huh.

Well done mate, certainly is a good feeling getting rid of the L plates.

Just take it easy, no need to attempt any record breaking ride times. We are all still learning

Nice one

Nice one dude.

I am going to go book to do mine in the Hutt, so a few questions...

Did they have intercom or was it using the cars indicators?
Where did they get you to do the U-turn if any?

Cheers

Hi Eyegasm. I am due to sit my Full licence at some point. long overdue here too. Well I had a baby so slight excuse in that department..lol.

Anyways, when I did my 6R at the Lower Hutt AA, they had the intercom and my U-turn was down Hall street. Its off MItchell Street, quite narrow, but if you pull over, look boths ways and ease round. No problems..good luck

I did mine in 2006 (i think) and I didn't have to wear a headset or do a U-Turn, but that was a while ago now. Hey Clint, what was the name of that book you were talking about?? Been riding in the rain much?
