So I just cracked open a Maverick after a 3 hour ride with my freshly-converted mate, and realized, he's the third person I've inspired to throw a leg over.
He passed the practical no sweat, despite having only ridden a motorbike for a total of the 3 hours spent down Chelsea Sugarworks last weekend, and got the theory, too.
So, KB, I ask you;
How many people have you inspired to risk life and limb on two wheels?

Inspired, not forced. The friend in question rang me out of the blue, asking if I could pick up a bike for him. He's just bought a new engine for his pimpin hatchback.

Point noted. It's just your post bought to memory something I had put to rest.
Ride safe ol' son.

Can be found at parties.
Copious amounts of time, effort and losses.

Well, My dad got into riding after I did at 16, after riding my bike around a bit...and a notorious guzzi owner on here I think could have been inspired by me, or did he inspire me with his old mans C90

None. It's like jumping out of a plane. There is no point trying to explain to someone what it is like, they just have to do it and find out for themselves. The consequences if you get it wrong (and looking at a lot of drivers out there that is a distinct possibility) are enough for me to not want it on my conscience if someone bounces.
Besides, all the bike parking spaces in town are taken up, why get more people in to it ?

I've still yet to convince one person to start riding. All I hear once I mention bikes is "bikes are gay" or "bikes are too dangerous" or "I'm such a fucking pussy that I don't have the balls to ride a bike because I might fuck myself up" or "my gay as turbo Skyline is better than a bike because I can fit more car sluts who are just going to use me for rides in my car and not put on that what you can fit on your bike".

Possibly a little impractical for a couple of hours on a Saturday afternoon. Could be converted to the luge in Naseby this winter though.
