Well with my work coming to an end and me having some free time (and a bit of cash) plus the fact that the bike is getting fixed i thought i'd finally get round to the respray. But now what colour??
I did this a while ago and didn't get much feedback. I was gonna go straight black but not really to sure now. Maybe red or blue again or something.
Here is a pic of the bike anyway, What are your thoughts??

I had no prob's with my one at all, but then I treated it like a baby and never got any scratches on it apart from when I saw earth sky earth sky one day. Got a little shiney around the rear of the tank area where my leathers or whatever I was riding on the day where always in contact with the surface, other than that it was mint. I'll see if I can get an image of the beast up here for ya.

I saw this paint job for motorcycles, it started off black, then as the paint is heated up from direct sunlight, the paint will change colour and display some cool flames. I've tried finding a site on it but no luck

oh and i remember some of you arty farty types changed the colour for some bikes a while back... Things like this done to the above pics would be greatly appreciated. Just to give me some sort of idea :mobile:

Okay, nobody has mentioned it so I shall go out on a limb and write it:
Metallic Green!
Well, that's the colour of my bike anyway.
Your current blue colour looks good.

There was an F2 with a 'Smoking Joes' paintjob (AMA Supersport team I think)advertised on Bikepoint last year. Funnily enough very close to the current 'Camel' MotoGP paint scheme.
Looked quite nice, and suited the bike. Would certainly stand out from the crowd.

If I can get hold of an AX100, I'd like to try anodising everything black, and make some stealth fighter fairings out of cf...
...and replace it's motor with a KX500 motor :devil2:

mate, I reckon the honda would suit a nice flame red. Similar to the VTR's colour and maybe some white (FACTORY) stickers. its nice and visible without being yellow plus its a genuine colour (as opposed to that super sexy lime green which would make it look like a sheep in wolfs clothing!)

If you want a change, Red?

yip it's looking like honda red (the one they use for the vtr sp1 ..... mmmmmmmmmmmmmm sp1) so yeh i'll see. Gotta wait for my bike to come back though..
P.s. does anyone have a lot of old sheets they want to part with for a small fee. Or know where i can get some. Gonna be turning my garage into a sprayroom (yes with ventalation) so i can get it done no matter what the weather is like :niceone:

Get it done the same colour as the red 05 ZX6R - Magma red is it? That looks great :D
Coyote

Fluro Red!!! That's bound to get ya noticed
Coldkiwi

mm, yes, that nice magma red on the ZX6R's is very easy on the eyes! But, its not Honda red, and frankly I think Affmans CBR needs to get its identity back after wearing a funny form of drag for the last few years

There are actually several reds used on Hondas. The one on the VTR1000 was called "Italian Red", but there's also a metallic red used by Honda, and probably others too. I had a list of Honda colours somewheres but I can't remember where exactly....

It's on an Aussie website somewhere... I'll go hunt it down and let you know when I find it. Either that or you could call in to a Honda dealer and they should be able to tell you.

Cheers man. What do you think of red though. Like a nice deep (yet still bright) red. Thinking of going away from the deep solours. And well i really want to get a bike with a pillion seat so i will maybe be selling at the end of the year so i think a brighter colour would be more appealing or something?
