They looked at doing a sequel, but they wanted to use the air footage that wasn't in the final cut for the 1st film, but there wasn't any left. Plus it'd just be lame, like a Titanic or Ben Hur II

another top gun fan here, although it has been 6 moths since my last viewing :no: , follow the sith to the dark side Ramius :devil2:
and if you dont like it, theres always Hot Shots, which tells a story in a slightly different way :niceone:

Now, Hot Shots II was a funny as all movie! Damn, I was at the video shop yesterday, should of grabbed the TG Dvd, oh well, I will get it today.
