Hi all
UPDATE - BIKE RECOVERED
If you could all please keep a look out for a Plasma blue 2006 Kawasaki ZX6R (last of the 636's) Plate - A2AKN. Completely standard except for a rear hugger, blue flush mount front indicators and black rear passenger footrests.
It was stolen from the Wadestown area of Wellington on the morning of the 7th.
Thanks

That sucks, hope you (against the odds) have it returned to you asap.

Yeah I also hope it comes back to me ASAP.
Its rather obvious and not so common bike (in that colour) so hopfully that helps.

It is insured but still sucks as some asshole is gonna be either riding or making money off my pride and joy that I worked very hard to get.

True that. I had my DRZ stolen twice.. got it back the first time with it covered in white house paint (which baked in while sitting on a police lot for a week) and all the electrics ripped out. That pissed me off, and then got nicked a second time. No insurance either time was even more of a bummer than the banana cream colour that showed through the white house paint.
Good luck.

If someone from this site has helped recover the bike let them be known! Always nice to share some praise for the good people! (Unless they were the ones that stole it or asked for them not to be named of course)
Awesome that your bike was recovered too!!!!

Is the perp in hospital?
Maybe he'd like a visit from a number of large leather-clad bikers?

Good news they have arrested someone, were they local? Hopefully our bikes will be that much safer in our neck of the woods. I hope it isnt too damaged.

What does your number plate mean?

What does your number plate mean?
Number plate doesnt mean anything - just a standard issue one.
Sadly seems like the guy was fine after the crash but did a fair bit of damage (to the bike). Not very local so seems like it was stolen to order.

To the KB members who wish to remain anonymous - I personally think you deserve a big thankyou from everyone else on here - and also the rest of the NZ bike riding community
I don't know who you are, what you did or how you did it - but if what you did resulted in the arrest of a bike thief then you have done everyone here a service.
My sincerest thanks

Oh dude, was that the blue ZX6 often parked at Vic Uni near VicBooks? Whoever damaged that deserves whatever's coming to him, I always oggle your bike on the way past.
Good to hear it's been recovered at least, is insurance going to take it and pay up, or repair it?
And good work to whoever got this theif arrested, it's nice to know that it does happen!
