well that's what it felt like. Since I've had the DL1000, that's about four months, occasionally it will sort of lurch, hesitate, gulp, call it what you will. Usually this would happen when changing down approaching lights or a stop. I put it down to 'user error' I thought perhaps I was catching the throttle with my gloves. Today I left work, 2-300 yards down the road there is a left bend and a stop sign. I change down from 3rd to 2nd, pootling round the bend and wham, the bike gives a hell of a lurch and throws me off, quite literally.
Full gear means a few bruises and a twisted ankle which is going to stiffen up over night, apart from that only my pride is hurt..
Got back on the bike after being assisted by three attractive women to pick it up (well you have to don't you) and rode round to the bike shop. I'm willing to bet they don't find anything wrong with it but there sure as hell is.
Could I have held it up, perhaps Arnold Swatzeneger might have done but I couldn't, it was just as if a horse had thrown me, not that I've ever been thrown off a horse.

Yep, I've posted there too they have some threads about the throttle bodies, whatever they are. I'll mention the above to the bike shop. Can't get over the idea that it just wanted to throw me off, that's just what it felt like, happened so fast.

Disgusting that Suzuki are allowed to sell them in this country in that state of tune, same for the SV. It's lean down low, and that lean miss is most noticeable in the range your describe. Your dealer can sort it out with a TEKA box in under an hour... get it sorted, totally different bike afterwards. Obviously check your TPS and TB balance first.

More good stuff to check, ta for that, I'll find out what the acronyms mean too. I'm certain there's a fault, and I'm pissed off that the bike now has scars.

I got thrown off a dirt bike once when the back wheel suddenly locked on its own and then the back wheel started turning again and chucked me off when the back wheel bit down into the ground.

Come to Whangarei bro for a ride and I will sort it out for you gratis. It needs a throttle body sync which requires some beer, a pipe which I have and a short amount of time. They are notorious for it and it is an easy fix. Make sure it is idling at at least 1200rpm, pref1300. Bring a new air filter if it is due for one and if it doesn't already have one, maybe get a TRE off trade me for $80. It will be a new bike after.

Bike still at the doctors, the boss has apparently called Suzuki regarding the problem. I'm hoping no news is good news. Perhaps Suzuki will repair the damage if they accept liability...some hopes.
