With all of the debate over drunk drivers, criminals and so on... I thought it might be "nice" to salute industry and their innovations... a way to make things better :shifty:

ID chips for humans... FDA have approved human chip trials... you may want to watch the rest of the videos in the series, they're quite an eye opener... Remember that this information is 4 years old too...

cheers for the link...

911 was a demo job.
Moon Landing was a hoax.
SPB is human.

All conspiracies I choose not to believe. It's the problem with any form of media (KB included) these days. Take selected bits of information and present them with your own spin. One salient fact extrapolated out to an end result that is almost unrecognisable.

No conspiracy theory here... just highlighting that this sort of technology is close to being implemented... maybe in our lifetime...

The applications of an ID chip could be used for good ya know... perhaps they can fit it with a blood alcohol measurering devicey thing that could alert the cops to a drunk driver, or a speeding driver, or show who was in a particular location when a crime was committed etc...

if the chip has more intelligence.....

The chip doesn't have to be intelligent. All of the technology is available today. Some of it is just too big. It's what's done with the data that's gathered that could be of real world use.

Couldnt be bothered watching the articles, but I assume its just RFID tag implants? ie need to be scanned by some device to read, or is there monitoring and memory storage in there as well?

The later sounds a bit big brother-ish to me, dont really want other people having access to all that sort of info about me, however if it was an AI that was in control I'd be ok with that. Mind you if a warrent was needed to read such info I see nothing wrong with it either.

............Hard to believe one human could simultaneously sport ALL of the very best attributes our collective genome has to offer, and yet here I am:sunny:

...........And NO means NO. I'm flattered you bow in awe, but for now you and your ferret are on your own.

I bow to no man, although I suppose that means I could still bow to you and get way with it. Definitions being a funny thing and all.

Does this mean no more love notes from you? Not that I mind of course but others enjoy them.

Who knows what technology is capable of these days. Not sure of it's use. When it comes into being I doubt anyone will truly know what it does other than the programmers.

Meh... the big brother thing is inevitable. Shame we don't trust anyone enough, to the point where we need laws to protect our "information" from improper use.

IMO it would be great to have these with transmitters attached to all prisoners, to remain with them until their death.....(unless of-course they are at some stage found not guilty then they can be removed.)

Imagine the black-market surgery for chip removal!

Great Idea, though I would imagine there would be no black market for such chip removal, as removal without the correct code will explode the device :D or at least alert somebody

I would have thought No, because it has to carry out it's programming?

Ok. So why would you create a black market for chip removal? If your intentions where honourable that is?

Chip replication/cloning could be fun though... passing through customs as Her Majesty at the flick of a button on your phone could be a tad confusing for the airport staff...

actually, lets not bother with the chips, lets just explode the prisoners anyway, Death Race anyone?

course not, a bit set to zero is no more intelligent than one grain of sand set next to another.
