Does anyone know the distances of what a motorcycle high and low beams should be?

Cheers, Euan.

They aren't measured like that. The easy way is to follow a car 20 meters behind them - your lights should be just below the rear window and drivers' mirrors.

Thanks Steve, I reason I asked is my high beam light seems to light up more of the road just a few meters in front of the bike rather than the road way ahead. I'm sure I fitted my twin filament standard head lamp globe in the correct way around.

I'm just wondering if there's any chance the reflector or lens might be upside down?

Cheers, Euan.

I guess it could be. It doesn't have to be very far off for the light pattern to look completely wrong. I had a slightly bent headlight bracket and the light pattern looked bloody awful. It failed its' WOF too. Straightened brackets and it was mint.
