So I bought one of those integrated rear light indicator combos off trade me.
The auction clearly stated "E-Code certified" so I figured it'd all be legal.
The thing arrived this morning and I can't find ANY identifying marks, E-codes or anything on it.
Does this mean it's not legal?
Will I fail WOFs?
(I've emailed the vendor, but it's too soon to expect a reply.)

Technically it does need to have the E mark on it I believe. Testing stations are the only ones likely to pick up on it. I'd ask for a refund though, if it said E certified then it should be.

It is technically possible, though unlikely that it is certified but doesn't have an embossed Emarking. Look at the packet and see if it quotes the E-code. I've seen lights certified to ADR (which is an acceptable alternative to the Ecode) that had the cert details on the packet, but not on the unit. But i dunno how you convince an AVI of that.

I have some so-called e-marked flush mount LEDs on my bike, and they are so dull I question whether it will probably fail the next WOF because of them. BTW you probably wo'nt fail because they are'nt E-marked, it will be because they are'nt orange or because they are'nt bright/clear enough.

Yeah I would agree with this. I wouldn't think a tester fella' would see if it was embossed unless they look too dull. Then they have a closer look to see what the problem is.
My flush mounts are crazy bright and aren't e-code. I have had my integrated light installed with the indicators so I'm unsure how bright that'll be. I hope they're bright enough.
