U may'v heard they'r friendlier here,well here's a friendly warning to any other vespa owner/riders considering a move 2 Invercargill.If u can't fix it urself,there r some really shady outfits down here who r not averse to ripping u off.I used 2 think they were just picking on me,til I learnt that everyone else gets treated exactly the same way.
U'd think the man in charge would appoint someone to make certain they follow a stricter code of business ethics,eh!As it is,isn't it like saying, "Hey if u'r a cowboy feel quite free 2 come on down & rip our people off" as most appear 2 do anyway.
In reality the only thing u can get here free is S.I.T.Poetic huh!
Sadly a lot here are still living in a bit of a time bubble,believing that if someone upsets u,u may tell 2 people,who might tell 2 people,that's if u can find 1 person who'll even listen 2 u,when really,they need 2 b dragged into the future & realise that with access to the internet 24/7,it's true that I might well b just the 1 small voice,but I am also a member of the worldwide community of motorcycle owner/riders and very much aware where our sympathies lie and it's not generally with the dealers,that in fact the only ones backing up the dealers r the other dealers,who seem to have forgotten which side of their bread has the butter on and not only,bite the hand that feeds them,but xpect u 2 keep going back giving them work.
In the world I live in there r only 2 types of people,there's the nice ones & there's the nasty ones.I know that u'd rather I said nice things about u wouldn't u?

So anyway guys here's the update. On Monday 19th April,the cops arrived at my door with a search warrant for suspicion of growing pot and it's fortunate for me that I'd just arrived home,because 2 of the 6 that turned up had these fire extinguishers in their hands which they were going 2 use to smash their way in,wrecking my house,which was obviously their intention,because they were str8 thru the gate and going for the back door.If their intention was honourable they would at the least,have knocked on the front door 1st 2 show me the search warrant.
Anyway of course I had 2 start thinking how they got onto me and after eliminating all the other possibilties,I am left with Motosouth who I recently had trouble with and sadly in Invercargill,it is quite a common practice for business people here 2 send their mates in the police around to make your life shittier in order 2 get you to back off.
I don't know about you but I think it's funny,that these same fellas have given me this forum in their own name to get the message out there,the bloody narks!

So anyway guys here's the update.
I had some trouble with the waterpump and while the mechanic at motosouth invercargill was working on it,he cracked the flywheel casing,so he rang me and told me a new 1 cost about $350 but he could get it welded for $150.Actually I knew that if he broke it they're supposed to pay for it,but i'd had the same sort of trouble with them 7 years earlier and I decided to pay the bill and play along giving him enough rope to see if he'd hang himself,which is exactly what he did.I then sent greg baynes (manager and part owner) a complaint by email which he responded to neither admitting or denying their deliberate overcharging.Then being a North Islander and a lot more str8 up than these fellas down here,I went down to confront him 1 to 1 to sort it out.However I reacted the same way 7 years ago and he knew what to expect and he was outside out back of the shop with the same coupla mates he had the last time and 1 of them who was at least 6 inches taller than my own 6'3" and twice as broad told me if I didnt take off he was going to bash me,but I knew he was all talk because if he was really going to do it he would have,eh!
SO anyway,just like he did 7 years ago greg sent his schoolmates in the invercargill drug squad round to make be back off.

The fact is that greg and his team at motosouth invercargill are the agents for selling all the BIG BIKES to all the BIG BOYS and if he'll nark on me,he'll nark on you,if he hasn't already and if you're a fellow kiwi you'll know that in this country that bad news travels real fast and with the internet even faster and the word is going OUT!

Are you sure you didn't get busted because the Yanks were using ECHELON to spy on you? That's what I would have thought. I have something that will help. It's called a Tinfoil Hat.
