So we had two cakes at my Wedding in Feb. One was a huge 3 layer delicious masterpiece, and a 2nd "Grooms cake" that my lovely mother made, without my prior knowledge.
She decided to put my bike on it! She got onto the net, downloaded some pictures, and made it entirely out if icing (it's all edible). She saw my bike for the first time ever the night before the Wedding, and noticed that it had a bar-end mirror on it instead of the standard mirrors.
She went home, pulled of the mirrors, and made a cool little icing bar-end to make it match.
If your wondering, our initials are N&Z.

'tis hard to see, but it does say "Triumph" on the tank, and the tyres do have tread.

It's currently sitting in a box in the freezer. I couldn't dare eat it.
The cake however, is all gone.
Alas.

As a baker myself (A job I both love and hate depending on what time of day it is) I want to lie at the feel of your mother and learn the ways of icing cakes that have such a degree of awesomeness!

Very impressed with the level of detail! Your mum is a Cake-Sensei! Clearly outdoes my effort: http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php/110901-Cake-for-my-8yo-s-B-thday-party.-(Yes-this-IS-bike-related!) But in my defence: I made the cake AND bought him the REAL bike. ;)
