Hey guys and girls,
after a long research I finally bought myself a TGB 101S! It should be ready tomorrow.
Now, I've had a good look around the net, but there don't seem to be a lot of forums/groups about this scooter.

I really want to get the most out of it. It's been a while since I owned a scooter, but back in my day I used to be quite good at it. I have a few questions:

1) What petrol would you recommend using?
2) How often should you really service it? Should I buy some motor oil to top it up
or should I let the people who service it do that every time?
3) Provided that my mechanic is keen on fully de-restricting my TGB, would you advice me to
change anything to get more out of it, i.e. a new whory exhaust?

Thanks everybody

de restricting those scoots is pretty easy,
you should be able to do it yourself,
the cdi has a rev limiter, either replace the cdi with a "sports" one or try and cut the brown wire (hit or miss)
and of course the variator spacer, pretty common restriction with most scoots, remove that,
and then its on to stuff like lighter weights to help it rev a bit higher,
expansion chamber exhaust, enlarge the restricting intake,
then if you really want to get a bit more serious, its port polish and increase the compression time :D

any way
to answer your q's

1. no, its a 2 stroke, no motor oil, , 2 stroke oil only into the oil tank, (oil injected)
2. toughy, i de-coke the mrs scooter exhaust every 3-4000km, and decoke the piston at the same time,, nothing more is needed, may be change the rings at 10000km
3. as above
