Much as the petrol-head within likes to hear the roar of the V8 engines, there is one aspect of this weekend that pisses me off. And that is..? (drum roll here please...)
Bogans.
In (often enough) old Skylines, and an assortment of other makes and models, who scream round the public streets as though they are in the race themselves, giving not a shit for the safety of anyone else.
Came across one yesterday and have seen two more this morning. Any anal retentive copper could have a field day (if they could get themselves out of the doughnut shop long enough...)
Reminds me of the olden days when we used to race at Ruapuna and them run the gamut of wannabes on the way home.
If they think their driving is so crash (sic) hot, why don't they get out on the fucking track themselves..? :ar15:
OK as you were - I feel better now...

All the same, I can't say I like being nearly taken out by a hoon...

It's no different to going for a ride after watching the superbikes or the GP. Always faster.... all that testosterone had to manifest somewhere.

Personally, I think the downside of the V8's is the pathetic TV spectacle THAT it is......fuck its boring!
MotoGP on this afternoon @3pm TV1 (for those that have not seen it yet) far better option.

What wins on Sunday sells on Monday, a few FORDS staying in the car yards next week.

Track entry is expensive and often relatively inaccessible to the average person. It's a great idea in theory, but a poor idea in practice.
