So, the question is how much interest in these people might have?

Would YOU want one?

Price probably would be around $220-250.

So whats your opinions boys and girls?

Just use heated grips and be done with the problem.

not with all the wiring needed, maybe if they were self contained in each glove. For that money I'd expect them that, or at least be bloody good gloves to start with.

Well, grips are too fat, not good for dragstrip, say, or racing. Plus you cant take your grips with you when snowboarding or skiing.

Selfcontained do exist but battery pack is too big to carry on each wrist and you wont be able to stick it in the glove or close you sleeve properly.

My search for good heated gloves showed nothing of good protection AND price. Decent bike gloves with armor are nearly non-existant and cost few hundred US.

Yeh, thats sor of what i was thinking, grips are good but you can't use em for anything else. Yup would expect selfcontained to have massive batteries, what sort of wattage do you expect the gloves to need? and what size battery pack would you use? go to 1tonne's site (http://www.1tonne.co.nz/index.php?page=listings&categoryid=5) they have waterproof armoured gloves for $75, and winter gloves for $60.

A suggestion would be to have investigate having a plugless join, weave the wiring around the wrist join somehow so you just pull on the gloves and they are good to go.

Nope, not really interested in these.... Too complicated, and IMHO a bit of a gymic.

There is the whole issue of that lovely little battery pack requiring to be surgically removed from your adomin should the worst happen.....
I would doubt you would want to use them racing...
Have you ever been cold while racing????

When I said racing I meant grips, since they are to big for my liking to have on my bike, as I use it for ocasional race. My thoughts were to put wiring under liner in the jacket and just unplug glove liners when I take it off.

Like these, right. But too many complaints about battery pack on the web.

Yeah the battery pack will be crap, and I if you come off you do not want nice slicey wires all through your clothing.

Why not just use a pocket warmer?
