So when filling up, I always click my trip odometer round to 999.9 instead of 000.0 as it seems to click over and line them up a lot nicer, so have at it, are you a 9'r, or a 0'r?

thats the thing though, 000s is imperfection cos they dont't line up perfectly, you get some digits halfway between numbers, could just be my bike though, the poll is looking that way...

Digital: when I fill it up, it automatically resets it.

Once you get it on 0000 just take it around the whole lot again, the number settle much more evenly the second time around

"It" automatically resets it? Is there two trip meters?Yeah, dash automatically resets trip counter 'B' when you fill it with gas.

If that bike knew how to pay your mortgage you could get rid of the wife.

Digital: when I fill it up, it automatically resets it.So you gas up and it (assuming you use it for range calcs) resets your trip meter? I (manually) do that every time, but I would be surprised to see a manufacturer take over the trip meter and insist it was done. Curious.

Curious. If you want to reset it yourself, you can either turn that functionality off, or use trip counter "A"

Mine has 2 trip meters - I always reset 'A' when I refuel, no option for auto reset though :weep:

Yeah mines got 2 trip meters as well. The only reason I asked imdying is because the Honda's dash is reasonably simple.

just stop at 999.9, that way if you go to far you're on 000.0 anyways, thought at least one other person would be rockin the 9's :meh:

Up, that is a whole 161 metres down the road for me!!!
I can't afford to wait that long before my odo catches up with my fuel...
Besides i will be 161 metres short of fuel at the other end of the tank... that is a darn long walk with a 200kg bike!
I just turn the little knob around again if my numbers don't line up... much easier than running out of fuel ;)

The bike reminded me this morning of the other thing it does... when you reach reserve, it changes the trip meter to litres consumed since that point. You can change back to the odo or trip meters, but 10 seconds later it changes back to the litres consumed; that and the big orange LED (which flashes after about 3 litres) keeps letting you know that now isn't a bad time to think about gassing up.
