Tyre wear thread

I did a quick search and couldn't find a thread so I thought I'd start one.

This seems to be a pretty common problem at race and track days.

I've done a search on the web and found a little bit of info on different types of wear the cause and the solutions.

Please feel free to add your own links info etc.

I'm real interested in this subject too. I saw an article in Superbike magazine AGES ago which had some real good pictures and descriptions. Gutted that i can't find it now. I've not been able to find any good stuff on either. You'd think with so many people doing trackdays there'd be more info out there about wear patterns!
