I was going to go buy/see it. I'd been speaking with the seller over several days (the seller was a good communicator & seemed eager to sell).
We were just an hour or so away from a pre-planned meeting/transaction. At this point I raised not happy purely meeting at some random park for the sale, need to meet at sellers place and/or provide the bike serial number. At which point the call cut off, the seller (zero trades at Trademe) has gone offline, not answering phone or returning calls etc.etc. I'm sure there must be a genuine reason for this but it does leave you wondering...

Call the cops give them every bit of info you can! Pity you didn't click before hand when he got squirmy about providing his address , so you could set him up.

A bike $600 under market price, no previous Tme sales, won't provide an address! YEH RIGHT!!!

If he's innocent a cop turning up when you do the trade is sent on his way with a simple explanation.
If he's a bike thief or bought it stolen He needs a fucking good rogering!!

PS call the cops now if the listing is still live they might be able to track him through T/me?

I was selling a car once. A guy rung me and first thing he said was "what's your address". When I said I'll meet him elsewhere he hung up.
