AUTHORITIES in Treviso, Italy, have erected 'warning - prostitutes' signs to inform road users that 'ladies of the night' could be touting for business in the area.

The sign features the silhouette of a woman bearing an uncanny resemblance to Amy Winehouse carrying a handbag.

It really is like that, they wait beside the Autostrada off ramps and tout for clients.

So I hear.

Triest, I have been there a few times, but I don't remember any street workers there. Will pay more attention next time!

Why didn't they make it "warning customers" indicating drivers not paying attention and driving erratically or parking badly!

Why the blame the prostitute's, who are probably on the curb "off" the road and not driving!

A bit moralistic, if you ask me but then again, nobody did! :mellow:

Unless the way they tout for business is like those morons in the Tron with their windscreen cleaning scam at the traffic lights....

There are loads of the in Italy on the road side, it became a game to see how many you could count on one stretch of road. Most of them were just sitting but one industrious lady was reading. It is even worse on the motorway as people looking at them sitting on their deck chairs in just a bikini have a tenancy to not look at the rear end rapidly approaching their front end!! And you know exactly what is happening in the parked cars!!
