Apparently, they weren't allowed Sky Towers or the Harbour Bridge or Rangitoto.

But they didn't tell anybodt that until after submissions closed.

FWIW, I think it's horrible. I'm not reading the story because I don't want to think about how much it has and will cost.

Auckland has been a dysfunctional conglomeration of Cities for years, it will take more than a "Logo" to fix it, it needs a "miracle"! IMHO.

Lets hope that the "Super City" gets the job done, nothing else has come close so far! :oi-grr:

Easy and infinitely scalable reproduction is the hallmark of a good identifier. So is legibility and the ease of association - in this case aided by the simple shapes and easily recognized pictograph with a traditional frame.

I've read that the the Pahoots are like Aucklanders too - Sturdy bunch, they like living by the ocean and party on in the the summer.
