I see F1 is straight after F3 for rnd 1, hopefully it's different for rnd 2 other wise I'll have to get someone to bring the F1 bike to the dummy grid and swap over at the gate, or is there enough time to swap at the pits?

Dummy grid swap over mate. Yell if you need a hand at RD2 to do this, only because it is a SUZUKI of course, the brand that has kept New Zealand racing alive for years and years now.

There isn't enough time to swap at the pits. I found that out last year, even though I was literally straight in and straight out. It's real strange getting straight back out on a totally different bike.

You'll really enjoy round 3 or 4 when you get 2 x 20 lappers back to back.

If the zx6 shits itself (again) then the prospect of block passing Chopper on a hurricane seems too good to miss.

He kicked everyones ass mate. ( appart from sloan) He rides like a king, so he can talk the talk and walk the walk as it goes hahahaha

From what I read...he finished 7th? in race one some 50 odd seconds behind the winner? That's nearly a lap down mate. Race 2 he obviously went better. That's great...but hardly walking the walk as you say. Good on him for getting into it, and I hope he goes well. But it's a bit early to be blowing your own trumpet.

Kicking who's ass? After his statements in the Dom Post a while ago, I would hope he did too.

err.....dont you mean the 'reporters' statement in the Dom Pete? we all know from our own experiences that journo's write what ever they like most of the time, rather than what was said.

Anyhoo......AWSOME effort Dion and Sloan. The qualifying was great, the racing was impressive.

He crossed the line 2nd in race one Pete. A 20 sec penalty was on him for creeping forward at the start. There's certainly not any trumpet blowing going on. Peace out matey

So the guy doesn't have to live by the rules then? Fuck...he must be good. Here's a fact for you then (seeing as you like them so much),his best lap was what...1.11 or something? Wee way to go yet before being the 'King'. The 'Kings' do 1.06's. I believe the 'Kings' on 600's do 1.08? As I say...good for him. I'm really impressed by how he's going. But bit early for the 'King' tag mate. Fact.

When reporters use "quotes"...they're generally what was said. Don't think I've ever been misquoted by one. But I think you've got it wrong Viki. I'm all for him going well! I hope he gets amongst the big boys in the Nats. The more the merrier.

He is indeed. But anyhow...back to Mr Sellers. Let it be known right here and now (to avoid any confusion), I really do wish him all the very best. It's great to see him getting into the racing scene. By all accounts he should've started years ago. But as we can all see by Mr Bayliss...you can be fast outside of your 20's!

Believe it or not...the 883's had pretty much unlimited ground clearance. Way too tall for pops!

Hi all. A newbie to racing here. I've entered an 86 GSXR750 in the posties and am really looking forward to it  Bit nervous though but should be right.

did well with those nerves :)

and good to see you went out & played it safe for the wet practice & Qual, good result for your first time, & at least you did not have a trailer ride off the track .... there was far to many of those

see you out there next month

And thanks to you and a few others for inspiring me to get out and do it :niceone: Had a great day, the rain was a bit of a bummer to start with but apart from stuffing up my start position in the first race I felt pretty comfortable. Problem with the lack of time to get in a test day was that I didn't notice how shocking the rear suspension was set up until I started dragging the pipe around all the right handers. That was a bit offputting but thanks to a few knowledgable people we got that 65% sorted by the 2nd race. Magic day!

Noticed your pipe dragging...maybe your suspension isn't flash (iI don't know) but your pipe is very low...would be fine at Taupo tho!
