How many of you view the Home-Page? (by choice)
When we logon, our computer defaults to 'Whats New'
It used to default to the Home-Page before the update so we were always on the homepage, everything happened there.
But even then, quite a few would miss stuff that was going on because they wouldn't bother looking at the Home-Page ie: Calander Events.
Personally, I dont visit the home page that often.

log on, don't you have cookies? I just leave the kb spy tab open, so no, haven't looked at the homepage for months.

What prompted this thread was Slot-Machine saying in another that he didn't realise the Ambo ride in CH-CH was on today.
Yet its a Calander Event.

But I have heard so many say that they dont bother with the Home Page.

I don't log off and I do get the Home Page, it's just that I don't usually scroll down through it.

Me too ... I believe its a personal preference in settings .... hardly an issue ... hardly a problem ... MY opinion anyway ...

I go straight to "new posts" and then open "mark read" in a new tab. Don't even know whats on the home page - doesn't interest me.

Heh, I saw this thread and before I opened it I thought of the missed ambo ride. And yes I log on through the settings page for immediate access to subscribed threads and PM's.

My bookmark is to the forum and to be honest I haven't looked at any of the other tabs. I thought KB was just a forum. I have just looked at the home page for the first time and I have to say, the ads along the top would stop me looking at it again, that and the mad font combinations.

The home page is rubbish since the upgrade.
I added a post in spankme 's upgrade thread suggesting the column spacing be adjusted to make it more friendly .. BUT nothing happened :)

The old home page had things on it which were old and seldom updated, therefore after a while you bypassed it. I have occassionally gone back to the homepage on this new system, but I could probably count that on one hand :innocent:

Mine defaults to the home page. I wonder if their is a setting somewhere.

Perhaps it is your bookmark? What happens if you log out and then type in http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/ and then log in? Home page or what's new?

I log on and off at the home page but am still really getting to grips with where everything is on the new format!

I am trying to get a wee routine so that I can keep up with the play and am making new discoveries as I go!

Does that help with your question Maha? :shifty:

I, too, log on at the home page- but rarely scroll down the entire page-, then jump to what's new. Log off again in the forums. One more answer for you. :)

My question was....
''How many of you visit the home page''? (by choice)

I am clever enough to click 'Home' if I wish to see whats on the home page.
No worried where I default to when I log on, that does not concern me, I could alter it if I had to.

Don't see "Home" much. I used to when there was Today's Birthday on the left hand side.
