interesting theres no rear shock linkage and the shape and the lean on the motor is interesting, also the seat goes a long way foward.

The linkage is on the top of the swingarm, and the fuel cap is at the back of the seat so the seat can go so far forward, that plastic box next to the engine is where the fuel pump is so that the fuel tank can be more adventurous, it had the swingarm located front sprocket like the G450X, and it will have some sort of red and white inbedded graphics like the 2010 huskys, and this is the base for the enduro, mx and adventure bikes :)

Check that out
I think this bike could potentially grow on me, but I think the front and rear fenders look abit overdone.. A little less dramatic would have made it look alot better imo.

imagine going on a long winter ride, covered in mud, and have to re-fuel... haha... youll have a pool of shit
re vazza yeah, that does look quite nice, still needs side plates. But just imagine sitting on it and looking at that guard the whole time

I think they need to do something about the shovel fenders, especially with the gas cap being where it is, and a scoop shape directing trail crap straight at it.
It is a pre-production model anyway, wouldnt be surprised if it changes some. But the proof will be in how it performs, like any bike I guess.

hmm some of the mechanicle things get to me tho, im not a fan of the idea of the swing arm and sproket all as one, make it dificult to do a sproket change etc, like the linkage on top tho, gas cap looks like fk up to me, and the guards are hidious lol thats my view tho

Yeah I was thinking that it looks a bit like a chinese pit bike... its the plastics that they have used, it not clean lines too. they tried too hard to make it different I think. Exhaust looks a little bit luxury to me.... LOL

Here go a heap more photos http://www.supercross.at/1news/2010/a/11/husky/index.html
Very odd looking rear linkage, it'll look very different when cleaned up graphics wise I'm sure.

Indeed, made me suspicious it might be a BMW prototype & not a husky.

There's a guy on thumpertalk ( husky rips ) who swears the '11 will be Husky frame & BMW motor, which kinda fits these photo's. But it makes minimal sense to me, it might be smart politically, but given there is a new 250 motor, I'd have thought you would have wanted the 450 to be similar so that it simplifies your supply chain & training etc. But given they would not give Knighter a new frame, maybe the BMW guys are not so easy to manage lol.

Check out the nz bmw site and have a close look at the G450X pics that is 100% a BMW motor fitted in that frame.

bmw owns husky

BMW owns husky. Why is that a surprise that they are running BMW engines?
Isnt that engine identical to the G450X? Looks the same to me
What is reckon is that BMW have realised that their frame is shit ( taken on David's advice ) and are making a hybrid with husky frame/bits and pieces + the bmw engine but are simply labeling it a husky to push forward their sales :D?

duno bout a bmw donk tho, id prefer the husky motor type that i curently have. i cant really fault it.
still not convinced on the front sproket/swingarm combination tho.
