just a short reveiw..

i bought a rear tyre from cycletreads (http://www.cycletreads.co.nz/products/226-kenda_road/1527-kenda_k671.aspx) a 150/70-17 for the back wheel on my vf1000.
i needed a wof and the bt016 was at the end of its warrantable life,
and for $135 plus postage, i thought id try it out just to pass the wof if nothing else :D

i wasn't really expecting much,
but i was pleasantly surprised, i rode almost 2000km on it the weekend past for the bftp rally,
and it didnt squirm, lose traction at any point. or even felt the tiniest bit dodgy,

granted, it was all on dry hawkes bay roads (apart from a wee wet patch at waipukurau on the way down)
but the tyre got a really good shake down following rdjase through the available twisties,
i managed 246km/h (not on public roads......... gps speed) which was more than the recomended 130mph top speed of the tyre, with no adverse affects.

all in all, i wouldnt hesitate in recomending the tyre to anyone who has a big old heavy bike,
they may be ok on smaller bikes as well, as the rubber seemed quite soft,

definitly a better tyre than the bt 016 that was previously fitted to the vf.

ill be buying a kenda tyre again.

Cool review. Cheap cheap tyres for big bikes.

Thanks for the review.

Someone asked for comments on these a few weeks ago,and I gave them my thumbs up.Here is a photo of my front tyre at maybe 2,000 or more km,you can see how the nice soft compound is working hard,no problems with grip, but I'm wearing the sides out more than the centre and wondering about the lifespan. This is an old fart riding a BMW,so obviously just doddering around corners.
