Good evening ladies and gents

Been gonna post this the last few days but been busy with work.

So I guess you could say I am a pretty proud fella now more than ever.

On the 17th April Ellen and I went on our first ride together after she got her license, big deal to most but it is to Ellen who has been a good passenger for ten years and NEVER ridden a motorcycle in her life.

So we headed from Wanaka out to Treble Cone skifield, no land speed records were broken but she did very well, we have now been out on three good rides and her skills have improved 100 fold.

I never thought in my lifetime that she would ride but with the influence from our German Adv Globus Bikers Ellen has stepped up and made it happen.

So many rides planned now, in about two and half years after a contract that I am involved with we will be heading to South America, North America, Canada and Alaska for a one year adventure ride and travel.

We are no stranger to travel and camping and I have done plenty on bikes however this is a totally new phase for Ellen.

Anyway, just wanted to share with my kiwibiker adv brothers!! :Punk:

Between you and me .. don't tell anyone else but if they made a KL650 Sherpa i.e. a 650 sized bike I would be into one like a pig into shit as the Sherpa is a great machine.

Did she LOVE it?

Yeap definitely she does, grin you couldn't tow away with a tractor!

You would be welcome here, plenty of places to go for sure and some pretty cool views to take in, let us know when you plan on coming down.

I will warn the local feds of overseas visitors coming in ... make sure your passport is up to date

Got my NEW/OLD Super Sherpa ,had it shipped up from Alexandra:yes: ---1997 Jap import with only 15k km,s on the clock. Exceptional nick---,original "death wings" ,original chain& sprockets (look O.K.) BEAUTIFUL Kawa alloy carrier too.(eat your heart out "MONSTAMAN")
Has done an amazing 55km in the first 5 yrs in Japan, then only 1400 more in the next two in N.Z.
Has slightly higher bars than my other two,(97SS & Stockman)---better I think.
Will cut the exhuast & derestrict the muffler, for more "UUMMMFFF" (makes a real difference) --- Think I might go for "UFO" handgaurds, dont look so "heavy" as Acerbus originals.:2thumbsup
Intend to make a rack on the back of my old Bongo 4wd van & go to rides in comfort. ("Old Fart disease" ,setting in):shit:
