Yesterday I was buying a ute out of town. Before going I read lots on here about tying down bikes, so when I picked up the ute, I was able to tie the bike on the back and drive home. Got it home without even a wobble. Otherwise I'd have had to go down on the bus, or worse - leave my bike at a relatives house. I used tie downs from Supercheap cos I can't tie knots.

Great and useful site. Thanks very much everybody.

Good on ya Lucy :niceone: that's one of the good things about KB. Lots of useful information, and heaps to learn and plenty of folk to help you if you ever need advice :)

Yep, if you can manage to sift through all the horse shit, there's lots of good stuff on here :)

I knew I was doing it wrong. I was stopping on the straights and pushing to the next corner.

KB Saves the day again :D

Ditto, I used to steer with the handlebars, now I have a whole check list of body parts and various convoluted scientific techniques coming into play before I would even contemplate turning a corner. Most times I sail past the turn whilst still trying to set up for it, I do see a lot more of the country now though, thanks KB.
