Hi
The ‘Chomely’ run will be held again this year on the first Saturday of May tomorrow afternoon
Remember all motorcycles are welcome, it’s a great day, you get the chance to put some smiles on some young faces (and some older ones too)
The kids and the carers just love to get on the back of the bikes and go for rides.
We have a raffle going as well, prizes include a $50 service voucher, some CRC, bike lock, T-shirts, caps and who knows what else there may be. So bring some extra change.
we will be meeting at the priness margaret hospital Carpark 1pm and Leaving 130
There are badgets avaiable as well

It normally goes out to and through the tunnel then round to the Cholmondeley Home in Governors Bay.
Well I went on this run and had a crappy after noon.
The kids were at the wharf on the HMS Canterbury so the group was sent the long way round over Gebbies, I spent a lot of the run being cut up by a plonker on a sports bike. The last time he passed me was on that last tight blind right hander going down Gebbies.
I think I have done this run every year since 99, and I did not feel safe today so I will be giving this run a miss for a while.

Well as far as I am aware the only incident was a bike vs car, when there was a wee kiddie on the back, I ought to know, my leg is a bit bruised, the bike well that's another story. How the wee kiddie is well I have to make a phone call to see. Pretty sure next year I will, if I go, not be taking kids, I may only go to the car park pay the badge and go home.
I think I know which bike you mean and will chat in private about it sometime.

Had a call the lad is ok, maybe a fracture. The driver of the car is very upset, as to me I am fine just a bit of a bruise, some apprehensions and wondering what I could have done differently but I cant find any answers it all happened so fast.
